Robotic Process Automation to automate the entry and processing of vendor invoices.

Technical Details

An RPA bot, developed using UiPath, monitors an email inbox for new invoices. It uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract data such as vendor name, invoice number, date, and line items from PDF invoices. The bot then validates this data against purchase orders in the ERP system and enters the invoice for payment, flagging any exceptions for human review. This automates a highly repetitive and manual task.
